La Maison Ottomane opened fully for business in May of 2015 – full booked for our first night which seemed such a good omen.
Some 400 guests later we are firmly established on the Luxury Hotel segment in Chania and Crete. Our guests have rewarded us with heart-warming reviews on social media and these days we usually find ourselves at Tripadvisor’s Number 1 spot for hotels in all of Crete.
We keep thinking about the future, though. Growth in addition to service levels – three suites is a pleasant and comfortable size, for guests and hosts, allowing some familiarity and close attention to guest needs. Buthe very high rates charged by Online Travel Agencies and the punishing taxes that the Greek government continues to impose and increase make greater economies of scale more than advisable.
We are quite confident we can continue to offer a high level of service for 5-6 suites and are looking at possible options for growth.
…or, of course, our guests could all start booking direct via phone or mail or our website and then we could perhaps remain small… that would be a nice birthday present.
